I have been working as a postnatal doula since 2017
With every family I take on a different role as everyone’s wishes and family circumstances are unique.
I have worked with babies in their first minutes/hours of life, right up to weaning time.
I have supported hundreds of families across Surrey and Hampshire; first time mum’s, breastfeeding support, twin families, post birth trauma support, night nannying, post c-section support, juggling older siblings, massage and everything in between.
This support role for mothers in their early postpartum has been something that has disappeared in favour for today’s ‘bounce back’ culture.
I believe that this early postnatal period to be a time of growth, reflection and love. I believe every new mother deserves to be held, listened to and supported as her body heals and she gets to know her new baby.
If you think you could benefit from practical support, physical comfort measures or emotional encouragement in your early days of motherhood, get in touch.
